Lots of people are complaining about a redusction in Thorax drone space. The ship description says it can engage multiple targets, but omits to stat size class. With 1000 it can still fit 10 scout drones which CAN engage multiple frigates, while its 5 medium turrets massacre cruisers and up. Also The moa was lacking in tanking ability, despite its largest shield size of all Cruisers. All in all i believe all these proposed tweaks are balanced and I agree with what one of you chaps sait a while back. you may not be able to fit 5 250mm rails, but have you tried frtting 3 and 2 200mm? works better and the tracking speed bonus helps when you get jumped by an interceptor or another drone carrier. Also, Amarr keep getting butchered by any misise ships as they're too slow and lumbering to close within range, and the armour bonusus are just what they needed.

Haveing read 7pages of responses it seams like I'm the only one haveing a problem with this change (?).
This will effectively upgrade these ships to uber mining ships (forget about the thorax), my guess is that most will train there cruiser skill to level 4 (to get a bs skill) and many will train it to level 5 (to get into the new tech2 cruisers).
With this in mind you are effectively doubling the mining-output of these cruisers, i.e. the osprey will become a mini-dominix (in mining performance).
My dear Sofita, You are forgetting the astrogeology/mining skills. 100%+25%+25%+100%=250% * 3 miners = 7.5 miners eqivalent. 100%+25%+25%=150% * 5 miners = 7.5 miners. this makes them identical, but only as mining ships and all skills on 5. as combat ships it still only has 3 guns. Its not quite as bad as it looks

DCM frigates? you mean my 4 months training won't be wasted by my choice to use only frigates? Yea!! Where's the info on the future frigate types?
